Mission
Co-op Leadership Academy is organized exclusively for public charity and educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on by any organization exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and corresponding sections of any future federal tax code. The specific purpose of this corporation is to: a. Provide leadership development opportunities to individuals dedicated to America's rural electric cooperative future b. Share best practices and case studies concerning rural electric cooperative policymaking c. Conduct public civic education and community engagement on local energy policy topics and opportunities.
