Mission
Zuya Wicasa Ta OTipi Warriors Lodge provides transitional living wraparound support case management and culturally grounded workforce development to young Native men in the Rapid City South Dakota area and surrounding Lakota communities. The organization exists to create an environment where healing responsibility and the discovery of personal purpose can take root. Warriors Lodge believes that when a young man heals from the trauma the substances the decisions that brought him here and reconnects with who he is as a Lakota man his chances of building a stable meaningful life increase significantly. The goal is not simply sobriety or employment. It is transformation: taking the skills forged out of survival and resilience and redirecting them into a life of purpose and meaning a life worth living. This work is carried out through traditional Lakota values outdoor education life-skills programming and direct community service.
