Mission
Despertar Latinos primary exempt purpose is to empower and uplift the Latino community through programs that promote holistic health cultural identity and labor rights advocacy. Since opening its doors in October 2023 the organization has provided hundreds of workshops and community events designed to improve the physical emotional and mental well-being of participants while fostering education inclusion and social equity. Through initiatives such as wellness workshops art and cultural programs and training on labor laws and occupational safety Despertar Latino equips individuals and families with the tools to thrive defend their rights and strengthen their cultural roots. The organization actively collaborates with schools health providers faith-based institutions and civic leaders to expand access to resources elevate Latino voices and create spaces of belonging.
