Mission
The Alzner Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in McLean, Virginia, founded by former NHL player Karl Alzner and his wife, Mandy. Its primary exempt purpose is to empower youth in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area through access to sports and enrichment programs. The foundation focuses on fostering physical well-being, life skills, and community engagement among young people, particularly those from underserved backgrounds. The Alzner Foundation supports it's mission by providing grants and visibility to local grass roots organizations, ensuring they have the resources needed to offer access to youth sports and enrichment programs.
