Mission
This corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious and educational as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.The purpose of this corporation is: to support local news organizations as they conduct investigative journalism projects in their communities; to improve overall capabilities and capacity of news organizations to execute investigative journalism through collaboration and training; to create a network of news organizations within regions and nationally that share knowledge about key topic areas in the public interest
