Mission
Global Source Education has been a 501(c)3, non-profit, professional learning organization serving the Pacific Northwest and beyond since 1999. Our educational projects and programs build bridges between classrooms and communities around crucial topics and issues facing humanity and the planet for the purpose of cultivating scholarship, stewardship, citizenship and sustainability. Global Source Education currently delivers its mission and operates under the DBA Suyematsu Farm Legacy Alliance. SFLA has become the official steward of the Suyematsu Farm Historic Property on Bainbridge Island, WA, which has been our home base since 2007. SFLA carries the legacy of Akio Suyematsu and his family farm through preserving this community asset as a center for interpretation, education, and active farming.
