Mission
The Philadelphia Film Factory (Philm Factory) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering independent filmmakers, residents, youth, and creatives, particularly those from underserved and underrepresented communities, by providing educational, economic, and professional opportunities in film, entertainment, and media. Through hands on training, workshops, mentorship, and community based film productions, Philm Factory equips participants with practical skills, industry experience, and creative exposure needed to thrive in creative industries. The organization provides fiscal sponsorship and production support for independent film projects, assisting artists with funding administration, compliance, and project execution. Philm Factory advances diversity, inclusion, and equitable access to resources while strengthening Philadelphia's film culture, workforce development, and creative economy by building a sustainable ecosystem for media arts and production.
