Mission
Knott Alone-Hold Fast supports Veterans and First Responders battling the effects of service while helping prevent suicide and love life again through hands-on commercial fishing waterman and other coastal activities combined with integrative therapy. We are a nature-based work program with available temporary housing to provide a sense of belonging and purpose while working on the water and other projects to educate and help the environment. The work ranges from crabbing oystering fishing and aquaculture to building public walking trails and cleaning up the waterways by removing trash and derelict gear and vessels. We also help educate the community on issues affecting veterans and first responders along with things effecting the coastal environment.
