Mission

Nashville Book Connection (NBC) connects kids with books they love to nurture their reader identities - at home and in the classroom. Trained volunteers roll colorful book carts of new books (curated for diversity, meaning, and relevancy) to classrooms and work one-on-one with K-5 students, bringing reading excitement, discussing student interests and guiding them through options. Students choose 1 book they are excited to read each week for 6 consecutive weeks.
