Mission

THE DONA ANA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY'S (DACHS) MISSION IS TO SERVE AS AN ADVOCATE FOR ANIMALS AND THEIR PEOPLE IN DONA ANA COUNTY, NM, AND TO MAINTAIN AN ENVIRONMENT OF RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY AND COMPASSION THROUGH EDUCATION, LEGISLATION AND LEADERSHIP. THE ORGANIZATION IS COMMITTED TO REDUCING ANIMAL OVERPOPULATION AND DEFENDING THE ABUSED. WE DO THIS THROUGH OFFERING EMERGENCY VETERINARY ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME PET OWNERS, EDUCATION, FREE TRAINING FOR SHELTER DOGS THAT ARE GOING INTO THEIR NEW ADOPTIVE HOMES, AND PET ADOPTION ASSISTANCE TO SENIOR CITIZENS.
