Mission
Seward Longfellow Restorative Justice's mission is "to build community by providing the opportunity to repair harm by involving the victim, offender and community in solutions that promote healing, accountability and reconciliation." SLRJ also has a unique vision: empowering a community that embraces restorative justice as the preferred option when dealing with many criminal offenses and neighborhood conflicts, a community that feels connected and safe, confident in its ability to build and repair relationships. Founded by neighborhood volunteers in 2005, Seward Longfellow Restorative Justice (SLRJ) became incorporated as an independent non-profit in August 2019.
