Mission
Beach Dog Rescue of Costa Maya Mexico, Inc. was formed with a single purpose - to help end the suffering of homeless dogs in Costa Maya, Mexico. Tens of thousands of homeless, starving, sick and injured street dogs struggle to survive on the streets of Mexico. There are very few governmental services for street dogs. They continue to reproduce exponentially. Treatable, contagious diseases are widespread as a product of being unvaccinated. Their suffering is enormous, heartbreaking and preventable. Our purpose is to provide the means to eliminate as much suffering as possible. Through public donations and grants, the organization is able to fund spay/neuter clinics, vaccinations and medical treatment by local licensed vets. Beach Dog Rescue provides temporary housing in our shelter/sanctuary until dogs are healthy enough to be transported to US or Canadian non-profit rescues, where they will ultimately be adopted into loving homes.
