THE ALLUVIAL COLLECTIVE WORKS IN COMMUNITIES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND CLASSROOMS, IN MISSISSIPPI AND BEYOND, TO SUPPORT A MOVEMENT OF EQUITY AND WHOLENESS AS A PATHWAY TO ENDING AND TRANSCENDING ALL DIVISION AND DISCRIMINATION BASED ON DIFFERENCES. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO PROMOTE RACIAL RECONCILIATION, EQUITY, AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT THROUGH ADVOCACY, CONSULTATION, EDUCATION, AND SHARED LEARNING. THE ORGANIZATION DOES THIS WORK VIA ITS THREE PROGRAMMATIC PILLARS OF COMMUNITY AND CAPACITY BUILDING, SYSTEM & LEADER ENGAGEMENT, AND YOUTH ENGAGEMENT. EACH PILLAR WORKS TOWARD THE GOAL OF RACIAL EQUITY AND IS BORN FROM AN INTERCONNECTED PROCESS OF OPEN AND HONEST COMMUNICATION, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING, AND TRUTH-TELLING ABOUT SYSTEMIC INEQUITIES THAT EXIST IN COMMUNITIES.
