Mission
Charleston Habitat for Humanitys (CHFH) vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Seeking to put God's love into action, Charleston Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. By facilitating homeownership, families can break the cycle of poverty, which goes a long way to building a better future for multiple generations. CHFH provides a comprehensive package of services, including serving as a mortgage lender, home builder, social support provider, and recruiting and training center. The organization serves families earning 35% to 60% of the area median income (or up to 80% for veterans). This is a demographic that is not served by traditional lenders. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Charleston Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. When Habitat accepts a family's partnership application, they make homeownership a reality for low- to moderate-income families. Habitat work
