Mission

CCIU (ccfiu.org) is an educational organization that promotes religious literacy, education and understanding. We offer programs that bring diverse groups together, building community among like-minded individuals from very different backgrounds. We welcome and celebrate the State's increasing religious diversity, promoting interfaith dialogue and understanding to achieve mutual respect, justice, and peace. CCIU's programs include To Love Your Neighbor, Know Your Neighbor panel discussions; House of Worship visits; co-hosting a Race Amity Day celebration; co-sponsoring an annual interreligious film series; co-hosting a World Religion Day celebration; collaborating on the annual Greater Hartford Multifaith Prayer Breakfast; and collaborating on the first interfaith youth service training to support local nonprofit organizations.
