THE MISSION OF WVAJ IS TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTIONS OF THE UNITED STATES AND WEST VIRGINIA ; TO PRESERVE AND IMPROVE THE CIVIL JUSTICE SYSTEM ; TO PROTECT THE RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY; TO PROTECT WEST VIRGINIA FAMILIES BY PROMOTING SAFE WORKPLACES, SAFE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, QUALITY HEALTHCARE; AND A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT; TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LEGAL REPRESENTATION THROUGH LEGAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING; TO ENCOURAGE MUTUAL SUPPORT AND COOPERATION AMOUNG MEMBERS OF THE BAR; AND TO UPHOLD THE HONOR AND DIGNITY OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION AND THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF ETHICAL CONDUCT AND INTEGRITY.
