Mission
People's Homesteading Group Incorporated develops homeownership opportunities for households of low to moderate income households in deteriorated Baltimore neighborhoods and creates job opportunities for disadvantaged adults. PHG also eliminates blighted vacant houses by renovating and occupying them for homeowner occupancy as a means of stabilizing deteriorated Baltimore neighborhoods. PHG also supports neighborhood residents and community leaders to develop and implement physical improvements such as establishing and maintaining gardens on vacant lots as a means of beautifying the neighborhood adjacent to our housing efforts and as a means of engaging youth and their families to responsibly carry out their own physical improvements to their community.
