THE MISSION OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ASSOCIATION OF NURSE ANESTHETISTS IS TO ADVANCE PATIENT SAFETY AND CARE, PRACTICE EXCELLENCE, AND ITS MEMBERS PROFESSION AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. THE ORGANIZATION PROTECTS THE PRACTICING RIGHTS OF CRNAS BY WORKING WITH HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS OF DC SUCH AS THE BOARD OF NURSING, BOARD OF MEDICINE AND THE DC COUNCIL. DCANA ALSO MONITORS AND LOBBIES LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA THAT IMPACT ANESTHESIA PATIENT CARE AND SUPPORTS THE EDUCATION OF NURSE ANESTHETISTS THROUGH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND SCHOLARSHIPS.
