THE MISSION OF THE YWCA NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA IS TO ELIMINATE RACISM, EMPOWER WOMEN AND PROMOTE PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND DIGNITY FOR ALL. OUR VISION IS TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A PREEMINENT LEADER IN EMPOWERING WOMEN AND GIRLS OF COLOR. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) THROUGH OUR SIGNATURE PROGRAMS, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS, NETWORK OF WOMEN, AND ADVOCACY, WE PROMOTE RACIAL AND SOCIAL JUSTICE AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT SERVICES THAT TRANSFORM LIVES AND IMPROVE THE NATIONAL CAPITAL AREA COMMUNITY.
