Mission
The purpose of CUT CIRCLE is to bring late-medieval and Renaissance music to life. Reimagining early music as a site of gritty, intense experiences, Cut Circle's performances are distinguished by their energy and emotional sensitivity. They are also informed by cutting-edge research that relies on primary documents to unlock questions of performance practice. Through public concerts and workshops as well as published recordings, the ensemble engages students, scholars, and general audiences.
