Mission
The Pearland Robotic Booster Organization's (PRBO) mission is to further interest in science and technology through a fun competitive environment developed around building a robot to compete in robotics competitions. PRBO supports Pearadox 5414, which is an extra-curricular FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team consisting of three high schools in Pearland Independent School District. Students are provided the skills needed for the future, such as creativity, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), leadership, teamwork, and many more. In addition, the team provides an early introduction to engineering, business, and art, with hands-on experience and under the guidance of professional mentors. Supported activities include (but are not limited to) community outreach and fundraising, educational outreach such as League sponsorship, and competing with the robot at competitions.
