YOUNG DOCTORS PROJECT (YDP) IS A MULTI-GENERATIONAL MENTORING, EDUCATION, AND PIPLEINE TO HEALTH CAREERS PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL BOYS FROM COMMUNITIES THAT LACK HEALTHCARE RESOURCES. THROUGH INTENSIVE SUMMER PROGRAMS AND SATURDAY ACADEMIES AT HOWARD UNIVERSITY, YDP PARTICIPANTS ARE TRAINED IN PREVENTIVE MEDICINE, MENTAL HEALTH, AND HEALTH ISSUES IN INDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
