Mission
The promotion of the common good and the health, safety and welfare of endurance athletes and the general public, through research, communication, education and the development of medical best practices that can be utilized during athletic events, and the encouragement of the general public to improve their physical condition by the promotion and regulation of sports competition, both professional and amateur, with particular emphasis on the sponsorship of endurance events, and of track and field and meets, and similar athletic exercise.
