The Organization is a "friends organization as described in Revenue Rulings 62-252 and 66-79; the Organization was formed and operates to solicit and receive U.S. contributions, which it in turn uses to support the Royal Anthropological Institute, a charitable and educational organization existing under the laws of the United Kingdom, and other like-minded organizations dedicated to the preservation and promotion of indigenous cultures.
