Mission
Green Chicago Restaurant Coalition's Guaranteed Green Sustainability Education Program educates foodservice operators about assessing the present state of their operation's environmental sustainability and helps them to develop a plan to integrate local, sustainable, and environmentally responsible food into their menus, reduce waste, energy, and water usage, and to implement the use of other environmentally preferable alternatives in their operations. By providing crucial educational information to consumers about energy and water conservation, environmental third-party certifications, sustainable and humane food, and other sustainability related issues, Green Chicago Restaurant Coalition's Guaranteed Green Sustainability Education Program also provides the public with the education necessary to make well-informed, conservation minded choices.
