FOUNDED IN 1999 AS THE DIVERSE ARTS AND MUSIC FOUNDATION, THE DIVERSE EMERGING MUSIC ORGANIZATION (DEMO) IS A MINNESOTA 501(C)3 NON-PROFIT CORPORATION WHOSE MISSION IS "SUSTAINING AND PROMOTING MINNESOTA'S INDEPENDENT MUSIC LEGACY". WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING A PERFORMANCE SPACE FOR LOCAL ARTISTS TO INTRODUCE THEIR MUSIC,CURATING A SMALL MUSEUM AND COLLABORATION SPACE FOCUSED ON LOCAL MUSIC, and SPONSORING THE MINNESOTA MUSIC ARCHIVE. ABOUT THE MINNESOTA MUSIC ARCHIVE PROJECT: THE GOAL OF THE MINNESOTA MUSIC ARCHIVE PROJECT IS TO CREATE A COMPREHENSIVE DIGITAL ARCHIVE OF EVERY INDEPENDENT AND SMALL COMMERCIAL RECORDING EVER RELEASED BY MINNESOTA MUSICIANS, PRESERVING THESE RECORDINGS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS AND SUSTAINING MINNESOTA'S RICH MUSICAL LEGACY.
