Mission

SPAN(Student Project for Amity Among Nations) is a non-profit organization that is designed to provide unique study opportunities to carefully selected Minnesota college students. These students visit foreign countries during their advanced college years to investigate a topic of independent field research of their choice. During the year SPANs Board of Directors passed a resolution to dissolve effective December 31, 2025. The remaining assets of SPAN were transferred the University of Minnesota Foundation, designated for the UMD URSA/SPAN Legacy Fund for undergraduate study abroad.
