THE AKRON CIVIC THEATRE, A HISTORICAL AND VIBRANT NONPROFIT CULTURAL ARTS CENTER IN DOWNTOWN AKRON, ENRICHES THE LIVES OF PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS THROUGHOUT THE REGION BY PRESENTING A DIVERSE ARRAY OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL PERFORMING ARTISTS AND COMMUNITY EVENTS. IN FY 2024, THE AKRON CIVIC THEATRE HOSTED 376 PUBLIC EVENTS AND MANY TOURS, REHEARSALS AND AUDITIONS. ATTENDANCE AT FY 2024 EVENTS WAS 164,727 AND 180 DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS GAVE 12,361 HOURS TO GREET AND ASSIST PATRONS. THROUGH OUR ALL ACCESS PROGRAM, WE DISTRIBUTED 4,800 FREE TICKET VOUCHERS TO ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES AND SENIOR CITIZENS SERVED BY OUR PARTNER SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES FOR CONCERTS, FAMILY SHOWS, MUSICALS, AND SPECIAL EVENTS.
