Mission
The Foundation will create innovative ways to teach Civil Rights history through understanding this case and its impact on the American conscience. It will develop programs that bring discussion and understanding of civil rights to communities with limited access. It will identify overlooked historic sites in Louisiana and advocate for their preservation or public recognition as sacred spaces. Outreach projects will vary, but the goal is always to connect communities to history, fostering understanding, respect, and vision for who we are and who we can become.
