An organization of women providing growth, leadership and development programs for women of color, scholarships to deserving high school students, annual donations to community outreach support organizations, a local youth club for boys and girls ages 6-17, partnership with local organizations for educational events, and operation of the Charlotte S. Rhone Cultural Center - formerly the Historic West Street Colored Library in New Bern built in 1947. Climbers Climb is an affiliate of the North Carolina Federation of Colored Women's and Youth Clubs and the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc.

RESTORE SERVICES TO THE RURAL UNDERSERVED TWO COUNTIES (CRAVEN AND JONES). RESTORE THE BUILDING SO THAT WE CAN INVITE SENIOR CITIZENS AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM THE UNDERSERVED RURAL AREAS IN CRAVEN AND JONES FOR RECOVERY OF POST COVID 19 HEALING EXPERIENCES. STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN AN INTERACTIVE ORAL HISTORY PROJECT POST-COVID 19. THROUGH ON-SITE AND VIRTUAL PROJECTS SUCH AS INTERVIEWING ELDERLY CITIZENS LOCATED IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, THIS HEALING EXPERIENCE WILL GREATLY IMPACT THEIR SENSE OF BELONGING, APPRECIATION, COUPLED WITH PRIDE IN THE SKILLS GAINED DURING THIS PROJECT. AN EXHIBIT AT THE CULTURE CENTER WILL BE PROVIDED TO SHARE THE POST-COVID-19 STORIES AND THE VOICES OF THE ELDERLY RESIDENTS IN THESE COUNTIES. STUDENTS WILL LEARN INTERVIEW SKILLS THROUGH ONLINE PROGRAM SOFTWARE.
