Mission
Roots of Health supports a community-led sexual and reproductive health organization based in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. For more than 16 years, the organization has expanded access to evidence-based, rights-based SRHR education and services for women, girls, young people, and marginalized communities in one of the country's most underserved provinces. Since 2009, it has reached more than 171,000 individuals with comprehensive sexuality education, modern contraception, and integrated SRHR care, contributing to a 60% reduction in teen pregnancy in Palawan since 2017. The organization also leads community-driven HIV prevention and response initiatives, including testing, counseling, PrEP distribution, youth-led outreach, and linkage to care for vulnerable populations facing stigma and barriers to treatment.
