Mission
Louisville Country Dancers is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to promoting and sustaining contra dancing and other traditional folk dance in the Louisville, Kentucky region. We fulfill this mission by hosting weekly and monthly dances, organizing our annual Fleur de Lis Fling weekend, and offering educational workshops to build skills among dancers and callers. We provide scholarships to support community members in developing as dance leaders and musicians, and we partner with other organizations to bring the joy of traditional dance to diverse populations, including youth and veterans.
