THE SAFE FOUNDATION, INC. WAS FOUNDED IN 2003 TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTIES WITH SUBSTANCE USE AND PROBLEM GAMBLING DISORDERS IN A CONFIDENTIAL OUTPATIENT SETTING. SAFE IS A BROOKLYN-BASED OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM THAT IS LICENSED BY THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF ADDICTION SERVICES AND SUPPORTS (OASAS). THE MISSION OF SAFE IS TO COMBAT THE CHRONIC DISEASE OF ADDICTION WITH HOLISTIC, EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT OPTIONS THAT MEET THE NEEDS OF CLIENTS AND THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, AND TO BE LEADERS IN COMMUNITY-BASED PREVENTION EDUCATION AND AWARENESS INITIATIVES.
