THE PURPOSE OF THE NATIONAL CENTER ON FAMILY HOMELESSNESS, INC (NCFH) IS TO CONDUCT RESEARCH, TRAINING, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & POLICY INITIATIVES DIRECTED TOWARDS ENDING FAMILY HOMELESSNESS. EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2012, NCFH BECAME A CONTROLLED AFFILIATE OF THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN THE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES ("AIR"). NCFH AND AIR BOTH CONDUCT AND APPLY BEHAVIORAL AND SOCIAL SCIENCE RESEARCH AND PROVIDE EVIDENCE-BASED SUPPORT TO GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS THAT SERVE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES. UPON AFFILIATION, AIR BECAME THE SOLE MEMBER OF NCFH.
