Mission
Mountain Chief Institute uses basketball as a vehicle to impact a youth culture where Native American children will grow up believing that they are valued, important to their community and have the attitudes, skills, self-discipline and resources to succeed in whatever they choose to pursue. These qualities can be taught through a positive athletic experience.Mountain Chief Institute conducts basketball camps and programs for reservation and urban native youth ages 5 to 18. These basketball training events improve basketball skills and physical benefits at all levels. They experience the positive benefits of athletics including teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, improved self-esteem and confidence.
