Mission
Yangtze Repertory Theatre is an Obie-winning non-profit theater company that has been producing and presenting theatrical works by, for, and about the AAPI community for over 30 years. Founded in 1992 by Maryknoll Sister Joanna Chan, Yangtze Rep has been a home for artists whose works are not readily seen in the U.S. Since 2017, we have been focusing on supporting artists from the AAPI immigrant community through productions, residencies and commissions, and developing new works that shine a light on stories rarely told.
