TO CREATE CLEAN, SAFE WATER PROJECTS IN EACH PORT-AU-PRINCE NEIGHBORHOOD BY TRAINING LOCAL WATER BOARD MEMBERS AND INSTALLING SPECIAL WATER TANKS AND CHLORINATORS. INTERNATIONAL ACTION BELIEVES THAT CHLORINATING THE MUNICIPAL WATER IS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO FIGHTING WATERBORNE DISEASES - CHOLERA, TYPHOID, HEPATITIS AND CHRONIC DIARRHEA - ON A COMMUNITY LEVEL. INTERNATIONAL ACTION WORKS IN THE MOST IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITIES IN THE CITY, DEMONSTRATING THAT AN INEXPENSIVE CHLORINATOR CAN PROVIDE CLEAN WATER AND IMPROVE PUBLIC HEALTH.
