Mission
The Friends of the Asa Wright Nature Centre, Inc. (FOAWNC) is a not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of the state of Florida and is recognized by the U.S. Government as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions received from residents of the United States are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by the law. (Federal EIN# 01-0832520). The purpose of the FOAWNC has been established to promote the advancement of education and conservation science in Trinidad & Tobago by supporting the work and goals of the Asa Wright Nature Centre and to protect its tropical rainforests and other critical habitats and further the acquisition, preservation, protection, and enhancement of the historical, natural, and recreational resources within the environmentally sensitive Northern Range of Trinidad & Tobago.
