THIS PROGRAM INVITES COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO COME TO THE FARM, HARVEST AND CLEAN THEIR OWN PRODUCE,AND PARTICIPATE IN A COMMUNITY PLANTING THAT CAN BE LATER HARVESTED BY THOSE WHO PLANTED THE SEEDLINGS. U-PICK HAS ALLOWED US TO CONTINUE OUR WORK OF FEEDING OUR COMMUNITY FRESH, HEALTHY, FRUITS AND VEGETABLES, WHILE ALSO PROVIDING ADDED BONUSES LIKE; STRESS REDUCTION, BEING OUTDOORS, CONNECTING WITH OTHERS, AND LEARNING HOW TO GROW YOUR OWN FOOD.WE HAVE USED THE GRANT MONIES TO SUPPORT OUR U-PICK PROGRAM, BY PURCHASING,SEEDS,SOIL,FERTILIZERS,VALUE ADD JARS/LABELS,AND IRRIGATION SUPPLIES,SO WE COULD EXTEND PRODUCTION AND AMPLIFY OUR VOLUME OF PRODUCE.
